Part 3: How I Owned my Magic and Found Meaning in My Work
This is the third and final part of a series. If you missed part 1 or 2, you can find them here:
On new year’s day, my husband Edmond and I spent four days in Ayahuasca ceremony, in Costa Rica.
On our final day there, the Founder & CEO Gerry appeared apologetically at the morning movement practice. It was the “second time a teacher hadn’t shown up in six years with 12,000 people who’d attended Rythmia.” he said to the group.
“Are there any yoga teachers among us? ” he asks.
100+ people in the room, and nobody raises their hands.
“I can teach intuitive movement. I’m not a yoga teacher,” I say as I raise my hand and stand up.
He had a gap, and I was there to fill it.
I got to the front as he passed over the reigns in what felt like 45 seconds, and he was gone.
I was essentially leading a room full of strangers. Two of my sweet new friends leaned in to support — Becky turned on some music, and Tara smiled and told the group they “were in for a treat.” Both helped me to feel at ease.
I started with deep belly breaths and led the big group through a spur of the moment movement practice.
I thought to myself — How did I attract this moment? My next thought was — Edmond is still sleeping, and he’s missing the whole thing!
Then my mind went quiet, and the rest happened intuitively.
I moved slowly enough to listen to my body’s guidance. When I didn’t know what was coming next, I paused, breathed with the group, and then let the next inspired action arise.
It felt so easy to read the energy of the group and allow the experience to bloom through me.
I’d never felt more at home leading a room full of people I didn’t know.
This was an initiation as a group facilitator and a turning point for me.
I was leading the largest group of people I had ever taught in person. I had led breathwork for almost 1,000 tech employees during COVID, but because it was on Zoom, I had felt somewhat disconnected from the audience.
Afterwards, somewhere between 15-20 people came up to me to reflect on things I had said that had impacted them. One student shared, "Your words felt like they were meant just for me when you talked about personal power." The experience was surreal.
I thought — wtf is the universe doing right now?
I knew this experience was a mirror for me to see how I was being asked to expand. I was being invited to own my magic.
I was stepping out of the shadows — and shining my brilliance in the world.
I was trusting my intuition — listening to the internal wisdom that the leader and facilitator in me always knew was there.
I was claiming my purpose — and choosing to be seen in my gifts, doing work that brought me aliveness and joy.
I'm officially launching my coaching offering as a declaration of owning my magic.
I'm thrilled to provide support to those on a similar journey. The path involves awakening to your relationship with yourself, and recognizing that every experience serves as a mirror for growth and expansion.
Every session is a blend of neuro-somatic coaching, breathwork, and energy healing — all aimed at unlocking your full self-expression and your own magic.
I have become an ninja at exploring my clients' inner world, skillfully pointing out any blind spots, and providing powerful mindsets and tools that create lasting lifestyle shifts.
