Radiance isn’t just about joy
I felt nervous as I looked my new friend straight in the eye at the end our 1-day retreat and challenged the belief that “he’s confused”.
Look at me? I said gently — I don’t think you’re confused. I think you’re clear. I think you know exactly what you need. And getting what you need is an act of love for yourself.
He let it in, as tears gathered in his eyelids.
We knew we’d met for a reason.
To amplify each other.
To be each other’s mirrors.
Just one week before this moment, swaying to Kirtan music with my arms wrapped around Edmond and our new friend, this same man turned around, smiled and said — you’re all radiating! And we all begun dancing in sync.
It was one of those moments where you know something bigger is happening.
We felt magnetized us to each other.
Our dance expressed the language of our souls.
We attracted the exact people we were meant to meet.
As we gathered for lunch over the next few days, we found an ever deepening synchronicity across our stories of rising through challenge, choosing freedom in life, embarking on travel, and deciding to dedicate our life’s work to love.
As we geeked out on personality types — we discovered we’d unknowingly assembled ALL FIVE HUMAN DESIGN types as a group. Anyone who knows human design? Whoa.
Reflector - Edmond, who sees the big picture and weaves the arc.
Manifesting Generator - Kevin, whose abundant creativity has powerful follow through.
Generator - Elisa, whose endless energy to go-go-go brings the dream into reality.
Projector - Jasmine, the unstoppable force of nature who can do anything when invited to share her wisdom & perspective.
And the Manifestor - Me, the creatress who sees the gaps and initiates new ways of being.
We only had 10 days before we traveled our separate ways.
So I asked myself, why were we brought together?
In my meditation, I saw us sharing our gifts and leading a day long retreat.
Edmond and I wanted to push the edges of our radiance, to facilitate workshops outside our comfort zone, and provide reflections to each other so we all grow.
So, we asked if they’d join us bringing it to reality.
After guiding each person through their limitations and fears, it was a hell-yes all around.
We anchored into our purpose of expanding into the edges of our radiance. And what it brought was surprising.
We discovered…
RADIANCE isn’t just about joy.
It’s about taking up full space.
It’s about being radiant in every emotion.
Especially when it’s uncomfortable.
It’s about showing what’s real.
Radiance is feeling the disappointment of rejection, the grief of loss, the pain of blocked love, and the sadness of letting go — it’s about showing up fully and letting ourselves be loved through all of it.
Being radiant is about being a lighthouse.
“The lighthouse shines and shows the way, and it’s up to others to navigate their own path.” Kevin says. It’s our job to just keep shining no matter what life brings.
It’s our job to relax, have fun and trust that we’re being guided.
It’s our job to listen to the calling.
And when we take the risk of shining brightly, combine our innate gifts, and remind each other how powerful we are - it creates courage necessary to meet our edge of growth.
